Meeting of the Executive Committee, Geneva, 28 September – 1 October 1955

“TRIBUTE

The Executive Committee paid tribute to the memory of three members of the Secretariat who passed away during 1955. In these officers the League lost devoted servants who unreservedly gave their best to the cause of the Red Cross:

Miss G. Alberga, who since her appointment to the League in 1923, had made the international development of the Junior Red Cross her sole objective up to the very day of her death.

Miss H. Bouvier, who entered the League’s service in 1944, and was Assistant Director of the Administrative Bureau of the Secretariat for over ten years.

Colonel L. de Meyer, who largely contributed to the reunion of many Greek families dispersed as a result of the events in Greece shortly after the second world war.

The League will always remember and be grateful to them.”
